$4.00Price
Basic Information -
Cayenne peppers are bright red peppers ranging from 30,000-50,000 on the Scoville Heat Unit scale. This makes them a relatively spicy vegetable, ranking above a jalapeño in heat. They grow to be about 2-5 inches long and are very thin compared to other peppers. Cayenne peppers are fantastic in many hot sauce recipes.
Growing Conditions -
Cayenne peppers thrive under the following growing conditions:
- Temperature Range: 60-80 °F
- Light: 6-8 hours daily (more heat and sunlight tends to make for spicier peppers)
- Soil: well drained, loamy or sandy
- Water: drip irrigation and deep watering are ideal
To effectively harden and transplant your vegetable, consult the instructions via the QR code included with the plant.
Harvesting -
Days to Maturity: 70-75 days
You will know your pepper is ready to harvest when the peppers are fully grown and red. Use scissors to cut them from the plant.
