  • Basic Information -

Jalapeño peppers are green peppers ranging from 2,500-8,000 on the Scoville Heat Unit scale. This makes them a pretty spicy pepper. They grow to be 2-4 inches long. Our favorite way to use this pepper is in salsas, on sandwhiches, and in fajitas.

    Growing Conditions -

“This pepper” thrive under the following growing conditions:

    • Temperature Range: 70-90 °F
    • Light: at least 6 hours of direct sunlight (more heat and sunlight tends to make for spicier peppers)
    • Soil: dense, soggy, well-drained soil
    • Water: 1-2 inches per week, or once or twice per week

To effectively harden and transplant your vegetable, consult the instructions via the QR code included with the plant.

    Harvesting -

You will know your pepper is ready to harvest when it is green and the desired length.
