$4.00Price
Basic Information -
Serrano peppers are generally green peppers ranging from 10,000-25,000 on the Scoville Heat Unit scale. This makes them a relatively spicy pepper. Our favorite way to use this pepper is in a sauce or a salsa, if you can take the heat!
Growing Conditions -
Serrano peppers thrive under the following growing conditions:
- Temperature Range: 60-80 °F
- Light: 6-8 hours daily (more heat and sunlight tends to make for spicier peppers)
- Soil: well-drained, sandy/loamy
- Water: deep watering is preferred
To effectively harden and transplant your vegetable, consult the instructions via the QR code included with the plant.
Harvesting -
Days to Maturity: around 80 days
You will know your pepper is ready to harvest when it is 1-4 inches long - it will get sweeter the longer it is on the plant. Like all peppers, be sure to cut the vegetable from the plant rather than pulling it off.
