Shishito peppers are long, generally green peppers ranging from 50-200 on the Scoville Heat Unit scale. This makes them a very mild pepper. Shishito peppers are often served blistered.

 

Growing Conditions -

Shishito peppers thrive under the following growing conditions:

• Temperature Range: 70-80 °F
• Light: 6-8 hours daily (more heat and sunlight tends to make for spicier peppers)
• Soil: sandy/loamy, well-drained
• Water: deep watering preferred

Days to Maturity: 60 days for green peppers, 75-80 for red
